Yeah... I really didn't mean it to sound so negative. I had a really hard time trying to figure out the right way to say it. (I should have kept trying, I guess!) "Betray" was not the right word (too strong) because I wasn't suggesting that Molly was going to turn on Sarah in the SAME WAY that so many appear to have turned on her.  I guess I'm trying to put myself in Sarah's shoes and imagine how she might feel to find out that (and I'm hypothesizing here) her new best friend was only really there because she needed someone who she could feel superior to, someone who she saw as MORE of a freak, someone who she perceived as LOWER on the social totem pole somehow - someone who would then be SAFE.  Now that's not EVIL or anything, it's very rational actually, but no one would like to find out that they are perceived as that "safe" friend for that reason.


Does that make any sense?
