Is that just a generic doll Jules is holding in the last panel, or is it supposed to be a particular character? A girl bunny with a little bow, no less--rather unusual for a boy, even in a strip like this where most characters cross gender lines in some way. Now I'm going to go nuts wondering if it has any significance.

Thank you for information on Frederick Douglass. Nothing I've read or watched about him ever mentioned that detail.

Incidentally, as a ragtime fan I'm biased to be sure, but I do wish one of your characters was interested in Scott Joplin. Smile

That's a character I use to explore agoraphobia: http://mypinkself.deviantart.com/gallery/

My mistake. I didn't know it was a bat until I saw the agoraphobia strips. I assumed it was a bunny because it looked a bit like a gender-flipped version of Oswald The Lucky Rabbit. (And if I have to explain who that is, you need to brush up on your animation history).
